Now that the holidays are over I am happy to be back painting. Finishing up some abstract work and preparing some submissions. The painting below is one of the several that are completed.
Now that the holidays are over I am happy to be back painting. I am preparing new work, both non-objective and abstract and experimenting as usual. A few submissions for shows are in the works! Here is “Setting Sun”, a new abstract. Hope you enjoy it!
I am pleased to be part of the new Stratford Studio Tour which opens on Friday, May 19, 7-9:30 PM and then continuing on through Saturday and Sunday, the 20th and 21st, from 10-5 PM. I will be showing at site #5, just around the corner from the ‘Soup Place’ in the atrium of the UofW Stratford Campus. Looking forward to meeting new friends and showing them both my landscape and abstract painting.
I am part of the Whitestone:Eleven” a group show at the Bartlett Gallery in the Alton Mill Arts Centre in Alton, ON. The opening is May 14, 2-4 PM. I will be showing at Dublin Church (corner of Dublin and Suffolk) for the Guelph Studio Tour running October 16-18. Friday 7-9pm, Saturday 10-6pm, Sunday 11-5pm. Two other artists join me at the Bartlett Gallery www.thebartlettgallery.com for an exhibition and sale of paintings and glassworks. The Bartlett Gallery is located within the Alton Mill, 1402 Queen St. W, Alton, Caledon, ON L7K0C3. The show runs October 7-November 10. Artists’ Reception is Saturday, Oct. 10th, 1-4 PM. Located near the Bruce Trail, The Alton Mill contains artists’ studios and well as galleries. This is a great time to enjoy the fall colours in the area!
Nancy and Alana Farrell will be showing individual work and collective work at Neilson Park Creative Centre in Etobicoke beginning September 8th during Centre hours. Lots of fun found material works and as usual, some of Nancy’s paintings. Some of the paintings will be from Nancy’s “Towers of Power” series. Work has been chosen to show how art work develops and varies over time. Love to see you for the opening, September 14, 1-4 PM.
