The cold weather has set in and that is impetus to stay indoors and create. Looking to continually experiment with some new ideas for non-objective work…keeping loose and intuitive despite my tendency to make the same marks and shapes. Have to remember to paint differences and to edit more! Hopefully I can do that…
I will be showing at Dublin Church (corner of Dublin and Suffolk) for the Guelph Studio Tour running October 16-18. Friday 7-9pm, Saturday 10-6pm, Sunday 11-5pm. I will be showing small to medium-sized paintings; all new for your viewing. The colours are changing, the weather is good….come on out for a visit. www.guelphstudiotour for more info.
The Guelph Studio Tour is coming up soon and I open my home for this event. The Guelph Studio Tour is always the first weekend after Thanksgiving, October 18-20. The hours are: Friday evening 7-9 PM, Saturday 10-6, Sunday 11-5. I will be showing my abstracts as well as my semi-realistic landscapes. Drop in, visit, enjoy cider and treats in the country (just barely outside the Guelph city limits). For more venues see www.guelphstudiotour.ca; but my venue is the BEST!!
I am part of the Harris Artists’ Collective Exhibition at the Elora Centre for the Arts. The new show is up and the opening will be April 7, from 2-4 PM. My new painting, “Signs are in the Sky” is one of three images I have in the show. Had fun creating this one!
